An individual who served in the Galactic Senate of the Galactic Republic during the High Republic Era was a contact for the Nihil Minister of Information Ghirra Starros, who had previously been a senator herself before siding with the Nihil.[1] In 228 BBY,[2] Xylan Graf, a member of the Graf family whose Lightning Crash space station had been taken over by the Nihil and used to house a crystal array which powered the pirates Stormwall barrier, fled and returned to Republic space. When speaking with the Nihil spy Nan about Graf and his escape, Starros grabbed her datapad and made a note within it to check in with the contact as she suspected that Graf would provide the Republic with data about the Lightning Crash and Stormwall.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Ghirra Starros' contact was mentioned in the 2024 novel The High Republic: Temptation of the Force, written by Tessa Gratton and published as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase III.[3]

- ↑ Star Wars: Timelines dates Starlight Beacon's destruction to 230 BBY. The implementation of the Guardian Protocols, which Star Wars: The High Republic Character Encyclopedia places in 229 BBY, took place one week after Starlight Beacon's fall according to The High Republic: Shadows of Starlight 1. As The High Republic: Temptation of the Force takes place one year and six weeks after the destruction of Starlight Beacon and its events span a few months, its events must be set in 228 BBY.
