Gallo Mountain University was located in the Gallo Mountains of the Mid Rim planet Naboo. During the Trade Federation's occupation of Naboo in 32 BBY, the university's dormitories were converted into camp three, a civilian prison camp. One of the individuals imprisoned in the camp—Royal Naboo Security Forces member Gregar Typho—found a working transmitter in the dormitories and used it to learn via transmission of Queen Padmé Amidala's return to Naboo.

Description[]

Gallo Mountain University was a university in the Gallo Mountains of the Mid Rim planet Naboo. The university's campus had a set of dormitories.[1]

History[]

Gallo Mountains

Gallo Mountain University was located in the Gallo Mountains (pictured).

During Naboo's occupation by the Trade Federation[1] in 32 BBY,[2] the university's dormitories were transformed into a civilian prison camp called camp three. However, the Trade Federation Droid Army assumed that all Naboo university students were artists or philosophers and neglected to sweep the dormitories thoroughly. One of the individuals imprisoned there, Royal Naboo Security Forces member Gregar Typho, spent much of his time in the university camp protecting the family members he had with him. As a food shortage developed in the camp, Typho also helped scrounge up food for the children present to eat.[1]

In Gallo Mountain University's dormitories, Typho found a working transmitter and worked with several other individuals to monitor communications channels, hoping news of the occupation would break through. Typho was on duty watching the transmitter in the early morning hours when he learned via transmission that the world's Queen Padmé Amidala had finally returned to Naboo, allowing for resistance against their occupiers to begin. Not long afterward, the university's camp was dissolved upon the Trade Federation's defeat in the Battle of Naboo.[1]
