"Send them messages through Gadin Badolfa, the architect."
―Candra Kitai, to her daughter, Orielle[1]

Gadin Badolfa was a male architect from the planet Kesh who worked for the Lost Tribe of Sith, the world's ruling body. While not a Sith, Badolfa nevertheless had powerful connections within the Lost Tribe's hierarchy, and his services were constantly in demand. In 3960 BBY, he aided Orielle Kitai and her mother, Candra, in their attempt to escape slavery.

Biography[]

"How did it happen? Did Badolfa betray me?"
"Oh, we let Badolfa deliver your messages. Your mother made another deal."
―Orielle Kitai and Sawj Luzo[1]

A male from the planet Kesh, Gadin Badolfa worked as an architect for the Lost Tribe of Sith,[1] the world's reigning government.[2] Despite being a non-Sith, Badolfa was a respected individual and was often in high demand, earning the trust of several of the Tribe's High Lords, including Candra Kitai.[1]

In 3960 BBY, following the assassination attempt on Grand Lord Lillia Venn,[2] Badolfa was contacted by Kitai's daughter, Orielle, who—along with her mother—had been made a slave for suspected involvement in the attempt.[1] Orielle had recently discovered the location of an Aurek-class tactical strikefighter, the only space-capable vessel on the planet,[2] and hoped to use the ship as political leverage to reinstate the Kitais' former positions in the Tribe. Badolfa met with Orielle, who asked him to send messages to four High Lords—two each from the Red and Gold political factions of the Tribe—inviting them to the farm of the merchant Jelph Marrian, where the starfighter was hidden. Badolfa assured Orielle that the High Lords could help her cause,[1] and he also revealed that Grand Lord Venn had elevated Orielle's rivals,[2] the Sith Sabers Flen and Sawj Luzo, to the rank of Lord. Following the meeting, Badolfa delivered the messages, but Orielle was betrayed by her own mother, who told the Grand Lord of the starfighter.[1]

Personality and traits[]

"He sees them all, and I still trust him."
―Candra Kitai, regarding Badolfa and the Tribe's High Lords[1]

As a respected architect, Gadin Badolfa had many powerful connections to the upper echelons of the Lost Tribe and was highly placed in their society. A friend to the Kitai family, he was willing to help Orielle and her mother in their struggle to escape slavery and warned Orielle when he learned that Grand Lord Venn had given Lordship to Orielle's rivals, the Luzos. Although Orielle initially believed that Badolfa had betrayed her when she encountered the Grand Lord at Marrian's farm, Badolfa had actually kept his promise and delivered the messages to the High Lords of the Tribe's Red and Gold factions.[1]
