«Hi, I'm G4-F2. I arrived on Batuu yesterday and was wondering where I should go for the best oil bath.»
―G4-F2 calls in to Droid Station Frequency 3-7-6-4-3-7[2]

G4-F2[3] was an R-series[2] astromech droid manufactured by Industrial Automaton.[1] A day after arriving on the planet Batuu[2] in 34 ABY,[4] G4-F2 called into the radio show Droid Station Frequency 3-7-6-4-3-7 on station BSO 401.72 to ask in binary where it could find an oil bath[3] as its joints were aching.[2]

The show's host, B6-24, informed the droid that if it was near Black Spire Outpost then the best place for an oil bath was the Droid Depot. She told G4-F2 that if it told the depot's owner, Mubo, that she had sent it then Mubo would give a twenty percent discount.[3] G4-F2 thanked B6-24 for the advice[2] and ended the call.[3]

Behind the scenes[]

G4-F2 was created for the themed land Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge,[3] which opened to guests at Disneyland Park and Disney's Hollywood Studios in 2019.[5] The droid can be heard speaking in binary on the land's background radio loop,[3] with a translation of what it is saying available from staff.[2]
