- "These aren't the droids we're looking for."
- ―Wanten
Foot Patrol 7, also known as Unit 7, was a sandtrooper patrol squad that was part of a regiment tasked by Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin[1] and Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Vader to search for a pair of Rebel Alliance droids that carried the stolen Death Star plans on the desert planet Tatooine. The regiment searched the Dune Sea, and eventually made its way to Mos Eisley.[3]
They were patrolling the city when their leader, Stormtrooper Commander TD-110, stopped an old man, a teenager, a protocol droid, and an astromech droid, riding a speeder, and asked for identification, as well as how long they had owned the droids. TD-110 eventually let the group pass after the old man spoke with TD-110. Foot Patrol 7 was later called to reinforce other units by Commander TD-4445 and their squad during a skirmish to prevent the Millennium Falcon from leaving a nearby landing bay. Members of Foot Patrol 7 included Sergeant TD-787, TD-7556, Crag, and Tintop.[1]
