Focused rage, also known as Physical Force,[1] was a dark side Force ability that temporarily increased durability in battle, as well as overall aggression and potency of one's attacks. It was utilized to great effect by Kylo Ren during the First Order-Resistance War.[2] Ren's grandfather, the Sith Lord Darth Vader, also made use of focused rage in battle. Deriving power from their inner conflict and anger, both Vader and Ren could draw power from the Force, focusing their rage to magnify their hate and maximize their fighting prowess, bolstering their aggression and durability.[2][3]
Behind the scenes[]
Focused rage first appeared in the mobile game Star Wars: Force Arena, in which the ability takes the form of a card used during gameplay to boost Kylo Ren's stats. In-game, focused rage appears visually as a red haze surrounding Ren when in use.[2]
