Flower serpents were a type of serpent found on[1] the Outer Rim planet[2] Haileap. The scientist Avon Starros—who lived for a time on Haileap—considered them to be pretty but deadly, and that they had no care for anything beyond themselves.[1] In 228 BBY,[3] after Avon's mother, Ghirra Starros, told her that Eye of the Nihil Marchion Ro would be disappointed if she did not attend a dinner at the Nihil pirates compound on[1] the Outer Rim planet Hetzal Prime,[4] Avon mentally noted that Ro reminded her of a flower serpent.[1]

Flower serpents were mentioned in the 2024 young-adult novel The High Republic: Defy the Storm, written by Tessa Gratton and Justina Ireland as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase III.[5]
