Electronic translators were devices that automatically translated between different languages, such as between non-human languages and Galactic Basic Standard.
Electronic translators included the translating vocoders that converted alien languages into speech, such as vocoder masks[1] or translator collars.[2] Other devices, such as translation visors, rendered the translation as Aurebesh text.[3]
Most members of such species as Kyuzo,[4] Anomids, Gigorans,[1] and Ithorians[5] relied on such translation devices or interpreter droids when talking with outsiders.
