EX-8C, or Atesee, was an EX droid assigned to Outer Rim Expedition Two-Five-Two, a team of Republic Pathfinders active[1] around 382 BBY.[2] The team was betrayed during an expedition to the planet Gloam, with its leader, Jedi Master Rok Buran, the sole survivor. Buran was able to retrieve EX-8C from the ruins of the Foundling, the expedition's starship, and sent the damaged droid away with a message asking for help. On its journey, EX-8C was further damaged by an asteroid storm before being found by Amos Tillian and Kam, Galactic Republic communications engineers who worked with Master Silandra Sho's Pathfinder team.[1]
