Dung worms were edible animals on Tatooine. Qui-Gon Jinn discovered a Bith merchant selling them in Mos Espa, and the Jedi Master unfortunately acquired their stench during the encounter. This led to many snide comments, including that he was "Stinky" and his being told that he needed to take a shower.
