"Doctor Mandible" was a male member of an insectoid alien species who was a regular at the Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina on Tatooine. In 9 ABY, he was playing a game of sabacc against Peli Motto until the bounty hunter Din Djarin walked in looking for Mandalorian coverts and interrupted the game. As Doctor Mandible overheard the conversation, he told Motto that he knew of a contact which knew where one was located. However, he said that he would share it if Djarin gave him 500 credits to cover his call, which he did. However, Motto won the game and Mandible lost. Keeping his word, Doctor Mandible gave the information to Djarin.

Biography[]

As a cantina regular, Doctor Mandible was sitting at the bar of Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina in Mos Eisley when the Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin walked in, searching for work.^[2]

Sometime later, while Doctor Mandible was playing a game of sabacc against Peli Motto, Djarin entered the cantina once again, on his quest to locate Mandalorian coverts. Mandible overheard the conversation between Motto and Djarin and subsequently told them about a contact who could help the Mandalorian for his quest. Via translation Motto informed Djarin that he would share the intel with him, should Djarin cover his sabacc call. Djarin agreed, giving Mandible 500 credits, with Motto assuring Djarin that the insectoid was on a "hot streak." Motto then promptly won the game, ending Doctor Mandible's winning streak. Mandible kept his word and told Motto about the person that could connect him with the Mandalorians, allowing for her to translate his speech for Djarin.^[1]

Skills and abilities[]

According to Pelli Motto, Doctor Mandible was a capable sabacc player. Although he was unable to speak Galactic Basic Standard, he could understand others who spoke the language. He had orange eyes, brown skin and mandibles. He had several limbs.^[1]
