Dandelions were a type of puffy plant.[1] In 229 BBY,[2] the Alcedian Jedi youngling Kildo ruffled his feathers in shock upon being splashed with a cold vial of rejuve medicine, making his colleague—the Jedi youngling Gavi—think that the former looked like a black dandelion.[1]

Dandelions were mentioned in Escape from Valo, a 2024 junior novel written by Daniel José Older and Alyssa Wong as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase III.[3] In the real world, dandelions—also known by their scientific name, Taraxacum—are a type of flowering plant.[4]
