The Corvus was a Raider II-class corvette used by Inferno Squad during the Galactic Civil War. Originally an Imperial vessel, the Corvus joined the New Republic following Commander Iden Versio and Agent Del Meeko's defection from the Empire. Some time after joining the Republic, the Corvus participated in the final battle that marked the end of the war and the Empire. Decades later, it was used as a cargo hauler by Meeko and was captured by the First Order on Pillio while looking for Lor San Tekka and the map to Luke Skywalker. It would later be shot down and destroyed over Vardos by the Retribution under the orders of First Order Commander Gideon Hask in an attempt to kill Zay Versio, Iden and Del's daughter.

Characteristics[]

The Corvus, as an Imperial Raider II-class corvette,[2] was a 150 meter-long assault starship.[1]

Before it was handed over to Inferno Squad, it had been gutted and installed with state-of-the-art computer systems.[1]

It originally only required two pilots, with the Squad all taking turns at the controls.[1] Eventually, however, the ship was able to be piloted by only one person.[5]

History[]

Galactic Civil War[]

"You'll take it on your next mission. And any other missions when it is an asset rather than a liability. And of course, as time goes on, we'll get you a full crew."
Admiral Garrick Versio[1]
SWZ Epic Battles

The Corvus engages with Alliance forces in the debris field over Endor.

Following the successful completion of their first assignment, the starship was assigned to Inferno Squad for use on missions when the ship would be an asset rather than a liability.[1]

The ship was present throughout many of Inferno Squad's missions, including during the escape from the Invincible Faith, the Battle of Endor, and the Attack on Fondor. During the Skirmish on Vardos, two of Inferno Squad's members, Versio and Meeko, defected from the Empire, taking the Corvus along with a group of refugees from Vardos. After fleeing the Imperials, some of the Corvus's crew chose to stay with the defectors, and protected the Vardos refugees from those who chose not to.[5]

CorvusJakku-BTCG

The Corvus participated in the Battle of Jakku.

After the defection of Agent Del Meeko and Commander Iden Versio, the Corvus was handed over to the New Republic operation, upon which the ship was later given a paint job with New Republic livery and heavily retrofitted. The solar panels on its sides were removed and its engines replaced.[5]

Cold war[]

"Make sure you bury Del Meeko and his crew... but leave the Corvus alone."
"You know it will lead her back here."
"I'm planning on it."
―Gideon Hask and Gleb[5]
BF2 Battle of Vardos

The Corvus is shot down

During the time of the First Order, the ship was captured on the planet Pillio by Jinata Security forces. Kylo Ren was in search of Del Meeko who was on board the ship. After killing Meeko's crew and interrogating him on the location of Lor San Tekka, Ren turned the former Imperial over to Gideon Hask, Meeko's former squadmate who executed him on the bridge of the Corvus. Hask then instructed Protectorate Gleb to leave the ship on the planet in order to lure Versio into a trap.[5]

Sometime later, it was picked up by Shriv Suurgav's scanners while he was investigating Project Resurrection for the Resistance. Not knowing what happened to Meeko, Iden, Zay, and Shriv inspected the ship's logs and found that it had previously visited the planet of Athulla. With the logs being their only lead, the trio decided to travel to the planet on the Corvus in order to learn the truth of Meeko's disappearance. Shortly after arriving, a Jinata Security fleet appeared. After a short battle between the two forces, the Corvus flew to Vardos where it was later shot down and destroyed by the Retribution in an attempt to kill Zay.[5]
