Cortosis swords were rare swords made of cortosis, an ore that could block or even disable lightsaber blades. The weapons existed in numerous styles and contained varying amounts of cortosis, but the practice of making them may have been as old as the practice of making lightsabers itself. The weapons cost 1,350 credits.[1] The Null Blade was a cortosis sword.[2]

Cortosis swords were mentioned in Gadgets and Gear, a roleplaying supplementary sourcebook for the Star Wars Roleplaying series that was published by Fantasy Flight Games in 2019.[1]
