Corellian rum was a type of rum that was consumable by humans and shared its name with the planet Corellia. In 4 ABY, the smuggler Owerto Naiucho claimed he had acquired several facial scars by falling on a camping stove while drunk on Corellian rum. The following year, while on the planet Chandrila, the former Imperial loyalty officer Sinjir Rath Velus considered asking the rebel leader Han Solo if he had a bottle of Corellian rum in his apartment for him to drink.

Description[]

Corellian rum was a type of rum that was potable to humans.[1] The rum had an intoxicating effect when consumed[2] and could be stored in bottles. Corellian rum shared its name with[1] the Core Worlds planet[3] Corellia.[1]

History[]

At some point during his career, the smuggler Owerto Naiucho acquired several facial scars and began telling conflicting stories to others about how he had earned them.[2] In 4 ABY,[4] Naiucho told the rebel pilot Norra Wexley that he had gotten drunk on Corellian rum and fell on a hot camping stove, which had scarred his face. She was skeptical of his tale, having heard several of his stories by this point.[2]

While on the Core Worlds planet Chandrila[1] the following year,[5] the former Imperial loyalty officer Sinjir Rath Velus visited the apartment of the rebel leaders Leia Organa and Han Solo while the latter was home. As Velus and his companions discussed a plan to rescue two of their team members stranded on[1] the Outer Rim[3] planet Jakku, Velus considered asking Solo if he had any Corellian rum hidden in the apartment for him to drink. However, when Organa entered the room, he opted against it.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Corellian rum was first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in Aftermath, a 2015 novel written by Chuck Wendig as the first installment of The Aftermath Trilogy.[2] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Corellian rum was first introduced in the 1994 novel The Courtship of Princess Leia by Dave Wolverton.[6]
