Coppergrins were a species of copper-colored, black-eyed scalefin fish found in the oceans of the planets Corellia[1] and Ahch-To. The fish were caught by the Lanai on Ahch-To;[2] on Corellia, they were sold in the fishmarkets of Coronet City.[1]
In around 34 ABY,[3] the Lanai Caretakers had four coppergrins strung up on a drying rack in the Jedi village on Ahch-To when the Jedi Rey fired a blaster through the wall of the village hut she was staying in.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
Coppergrins first appeared in the 2017 film Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi.[2] The fish were later identified in the 2018 reference book Solo: A Star Wars Story The Official Guide, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1]
