"This system has endured more than a hundred wars. My people don't need a reason to pick a fight."
Sabine Wren, to Hera Syndulla[3]

The Concord Dawn system was a star system[4] within the Mandalore sector of the Outer Rim Territories[1] under the control of a Mandalorian squad known as the Mandalorian Protectors. It was home to the planet Concord Dawn, which had at least three moons, the third moon being the location of the Protectors Camp.[4] In 3 BBY,[6] the rebellion against the Galactic Empire sought safe passage through the system, and were granted such by Fenn Rau, leader of the Protectors.[3]

  6. According to StarWars Star Wars Rebels Returns...with Princess Leia on StarWars.com (backup link), "A Princess on Lothal" is "set roughly three years before the events of A New Hope. Since Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates the events of A New Hope to 0 BBY, "A Princess on Lothal" must take place in 3 BBY. Because Dawn of Rebellion states the events of "The Mystery of Chopper Base" occur three years before the Battle of Yavin, it takes place in 3 BBY. Since "The Protector of Concord Dawn," is between these two episodes, it is also set in 3 BBY.
