Clawdite was a language spoken by the Clawdite bounty hunter Zam Wesell. In her final moments, Wesell reverted from speaking Galactic Basic Standard into Clawdite as she also shifted forms from human into her natural appearance.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The Clawdite language first appeared in the 2002 prequel trilogy film, Star Wars Episode II Attack of the Clones.[2] It was first identified as Clawdite in the video "Every Language in Star Wars" which released in 2019 on the Star Wars Kids YouTube channel.[1] The name originates in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first used in the 2003 Star Wars Roleplaying Game supplement Ultimate Alien Anthology; however, in Legends Wesell's dialogue in Attack of the Clones was never specifically identified as being Clawdite.[3]
