Palpatine's cane
A cane was a device used to assist an individual in walking. A swagger stick was a type of cane used to symbolize authority.
Many individuals in the galaxy owned canes, including Emperor Sheev Palpatine, who owned a black walking cane,[1] Jedi Master Yoda,[2] who owned a gimer stick given to him by the Wookiees,[3] and Luke Skywalker.[4]
Some Force-users incorporated detachable lightsabers into their canes, such as elderly Jedi Master Tera Sinube and former Sith Lord Maul.[5]
In 35 ABY,[6] Landonis Balthazar Calrissian used a cane, the head of which was carved in the shape of Cloud City and included his name as an inscription.[7]
