Burnin Konn was an Outer Rim Territories mining planet located in the Anoat sector. It possessed rich deposits of various ores and was one of the four Mining Worlds controlled by the Figg family's corporate interests. Burnin Konn's native plants had all been stripped by the mining operations on the world.
Description[]
Burnin Konn was a terrestrial planet[2] located in the Burnin Konn system, a part of the Anoat sector. It was situated in the Greater Javin region within the Western Reaches portion of the Outer Rim Territories. Hyperlanes linked it to the Allyuen, Ione, Isis, and Tokmia systems.[1]
An ore-rich world, Burnin Konn had deposits of several minerals such as[2] the metals[4] kammris and[2] the valuable dolovite.[5] The planet originally featured native flora, but it was all stripped a long time[1] prior to 43 ABY,[6] during the ceaseless mining of the world's minerals.[1]
History[]
After the Galactic Republic's victory in a war against the nearby civilization of the Mugaari species[2] at some point between approximately 1000 BBY and 600 BBY,[7] the former established the Javin sector in the former Mugaari Space.[2] Around 400 BBY,[3] the portion of the sector containing Burnin Konn was re-designated as the Anoat sector.[2] The planet eventually became one of the four Mining Worlds, all of which were controlled by[1] the corporate interests of the Greater Javin's influential Figg family.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
Burnin Konn was introduced in Wizards of the Coast's Star Wars Roleplaying Game supplement "Galactic Gazetteer: Hoth and the Greater Javin," which was published on Wizards.com on March 25, 2004.[2] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the world in grid square K-18.[1]
