The bubse tree was a type of bulbous tree indigineous to the Outer Rim planet Saleucami. Root segments and mineral water harvested from the plant fetched high prices as specialized medicinal exports with the aesthetes of the Zealots of Psusan,[1] a religious cult.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
In the current Star Wars canon, bubse trees were first mentioned in "Visiting Saleucami," an article published by De Agostini in the "Guide to the Galaxy" department of the magazine Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon 44[1] around November 4, 2015.[3] The trees originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where they were first mentioned in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, which was written by Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace.[4]
