Bonshyyyr

Bonshyyyr was a tree native to the^[1] Mid Rim Territories^[2] forest planet Kashyyyk. The tree grew in the mountains of Kashyyyk such as those on which the Imperial Refinery, a large refinery in which the Galactic Empire harvested wroshyr tree sap, was located. They had green leaves.^[1]

In 14 BBY,^[3] when the crew of the luxury yacht Stinger Mantis undertook a mission to rebuild the Jedi Order, crew member and Jedi Padawan Cal Kestis infiltrated the Imperial Refinery on Kashyyyk. While inside the refinery, Kestis collected a Bonshyyyr seed. When he returned to the Mantis, he planted the seed in his companion Greez Dritus' terrarium aboard the ship. The seed was one of several that Kestis had collected in order to repay Dritus for his assistance during the Mantis crew's mission.^[1]
