Bolas were a type of thrown ensnaring weapon. Consisting of a rope with round weights at either end,^[1] bolas were used to bind opponents. During the Imperial Era, bounty hunters Fennec Shand^[2] and Durge utilized bolas.^[3] The Ewoks of the Sanctuary Moon of Endor also utilized bolas during the major battle fought there during the Galactic Civil War.^[1]
