Blutopia was a watery[4] planet located in the Expansion Region[1] and the Trailing Sectors[2] on the Corellian Trade Spine, in grid square K-16 on the Standard Galactic Grid.[3] The planet was the homeworld of the Blutopian species.[1] In 34 ABY,[5] the historian Eloc Throno included a map with the location of Blutopia in his book Traveler's Guide to Batuu, a book that detailed the Outer Rim planet of Batuu.[1]

Blutopia pearls were a dish native to the planet and was considered by the Blutopian Oga Garra one of her favorites. During a culinary tour of the galaxy that he took[6] between 34 ABY and 35 ABY.[7] the Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs visited Blutopia. In Tuggs' third cookbook, The Ultimate Cookbook, which was published[6] in 35 ABY,[7] he mentioned Blutopia when documenting his recipe for the Blutopia pearls dish.[6]

Behind the scenes[]

Blutopia was first mentioned in the 2020 reference book Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: Traveler's Guide to Batuu, written by Cole Horton.[1]

  4. 4.0 4.1 Star Wars: The Ultimate Cookbook
  5. Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: Traveler's Guide to Batuu establishes that the Resistance is currently based on Batuu. Star Wars: Timelines dates both the Resistance setting up its base on Batuu and its eventual relocation to Ajan Kloss to 34 ABY. Therefore, the guide must have been authored that year.
  6. 6.0 6.1 6.2 Star Wars: The Ultimate Cookbook
  7. 7.0 7.1 Star Wars: The Ultimate Cookbook establishes that the publishing of the in-universe The Ultimate Cookbook and the culinary tour that preceded it occurred following the publishing of The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook and prior to the destruction of Kijimi. It also establishes that The Ultimate Cookbook was published following the Festival of the Ancestors that occurred during that time period. Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook further establishes that The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook was published concurrently with the First Order's search for the Resistance base on Batuu, which Star Wars: Timelines dates to 34 ABY. In addition, Timelines dates the Festival of the Ancestors and the destruction of Kijimi to 35 ABY, meaning the tour must have taken place between 34 ABY and 35 ABY and The Ultimate Cookbook must have been published in 35 ABY.
