The black ice vulture[2] or simply the ice vulture[3] was a type of bird native to the icy planet Barton IV.[1]
Biology and appearance[]

Black ice vultures were large birds that were at home in the icy conditions of Barton IV.[1] Their blue plumage helped blend in with the landscape.[2] With massive wingspans, ice vultures could swoop and sail through the air with ease,[1] screeching. Black ice vultures would appear solitary[1] or, if prey was present, sometimes several would appear together.[1] The vultures were equipped with sharp beaks and razor-sharp talons.[2]
