In 4 ABY,^[2] the Beltire Liberation^[1] was carried out by the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War when it liberated^[2] the Mid Rim astronomical object^[3] Beltire.^[2] During the event, rebel pilot Lieutenant Shara Bey flew assist for Rampant Squadron.^[1]

After the liberation, Bey's fellow Green Squadron pilot L'ulo L'ampar heard about the lieutenant's participation and mentioned it to^[1] her^[2] after the two had taken part in the liberation of Cawa City on^[1] the planet^[4] Sterdic IV. L'ampar used it as an example of how Bey had been working very hard and stated^[1] he^[2] would try to get her assigned to lighter duties.^[1]
