The ash angels were a species of scavenging birds that lived on the planet of Sullust.[3] They were featherless, covered in thin strips of tissue. Despite lacking feathers, they flew gracefully above the surface of Sullust's lava rivers and could execute precise maneuvers such as corkscrews.[2]
