"I understand that the Lucky Despot has the loosest games in town. Also someone looking for work can find something to do there as well."
―Airba[1]

Airba was a male Aqualish who lived during the Galactic Civil War. He was present in Mos Eisley, on the planet Tatooine, after the Battle of Yavin.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

"We do this fast. I don't want to know you, and you definitely don't want to know me."
―Airba, to a spacer[2]

Airba was a non-player character (NPC) in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[3] Airba was added to the game with the release of the "Publish 25," a.k.a. the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005.[4]

Airba was intended to be part of the cancelled Valarian Themepark. This questline was initially planned to be introduced in the game with the "Publish 23" to replace the original "Valarian Quest Series."[5] Although the old "Valarian Quest Series" was deactivated with the release of Publish 23 on August 31, 2005,[6] the new Themepark was never activated.[7] NPCs of the Valarian Theme Park such as Airba were implemented into the game but they were not involved in any quest.[1] Unused game files pertaining to this questline indicated that Airba was intended to be part of a new quest named "Thrust." In this quest, Airba and a spacer working for Lady Valarian's lieutenant Kavas Urdano were tasked with finding the secret safe house of Ind, another lieutenant of Lady Valarian and the main rival of Kavas.[8] In several game files, Airba was identified as Labria.[9]
