Tanis Van Kirk (born 22 December 1954; age 69) is a former actress who appeared as an Enterprise crewmember in Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Her costume was sold off on the It's A Wrap! sale and auction on eBay. The costume was also worn by Celeste Cartier [1], and Helen Valencia also wore the uniform as evidenced by additional name tags within the costume.
Van Kirk joined the Screen Actors Guild as a background artist for her appearance in At Long Last Love (1975), where during filming, director Peter Bogdanovich upgraded her to a speaking part.
Following The Motion Picture, she appeared in Airplane II: The Sequel (1982), Hart to Hart (1983), two episodes of The Colbys (1986-1987), including the episode "Double Jeopardy" (with Stephanie Beacham, Tracy Scoggins, Ricardo Montalban, Ray Wise, Shirley Anthony, John Blower, Devron Conrad, Bob Davis, Tim McCormack, and Gene Poe).
Today she goes by the name Tanis Van Kirk-Lange and works as an investment advisor.
