The SS Puget Sound was a 23rd century Federation colony ship.
Sometime in the 2230s or 2240s, the ship was captured by the Gorn, an unknown species at the time, who then deposited its passengers and crew on a breeding planet to be fed to their young or hunted for sport. The last survivor, La'an Noonien-Singh, was eventually captured and cast off into space aboard a Mark IV liferaft. (SNW: "Strange New Worlds", "Memento Mori")
