The Gorn set La'an Noonien-Singh adrift in a Mark IV liferaft after holding her captive on one of their nursery planets. Sometime later, this vessel was detected by the USS Martin Luther King Jr., whose crew then proceeded to rescue the young Noonien-Singh. (SNW: "Strange New Worlds")
