Jack Gilroy (born 23 May 1931; age 93) is an actor who appeared as a lieutenant j.g. in several episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation. As a background actor he received no credit for his appearances.

Gilroy graduated from West Haven High School in 1949 and attended the Southern Connecticut State University until 1957. Today, he resides with his wife Harlene in Long Beach, California.

He was featured as Congressman Pennybaker in the romance The American President (1995, with Martin Sheen, David Paymer, Anne Haney, Beau Billingslea, Gail Strickland, Clement von Franckenstein, John Mahon, Wendie Malick, Jordan Lund, Richard McGonagle, Beans Morocco, George Murdock, Googy Gress, Ron Canada, Greg Poland, David Drew Gallagher, Walter Smith, Jack Nolan, Mark Watson, Warren Tabata, Len Costanza, Aric Rogokos, Dan Magee, Adolphus Hankins, Betty Hankins, Bruce Dobos, Michael Wajacs, Lisa Christy, Roberta Storm, Sherry O'Keefe, Anne Woodberry, Michael Kurtz, David Channell, Rudy Morrison, Wanda Norman, Star Halm, Mike Paciorek, Suzanne Lodge, Dale Kasman, Linda Harcharic, Antony Acker, Faith Burton, Ivy Borg, William Ward, Janet Dey, S. Sanders, Uriah Carr, Mike Fujimoto, Mike Satterfield, Ray Uhler, Charlie Croughwell, and Anne Verrier Scatolini) and portrayed the older version of Leonardo DiCaprio's character Dominick Cobb in Inception (2010, with Tom Hardy, Russ Fega, and Tim Kelleher). Other projects include the short films Days Like These (2004, with Gwen Van Dam), The Boy Who Became King (2010) on which he also worked as composer, and The Reginald Lewis Story (2011, with Darin Cooper and Michael Rothhaar), the comedy Naked Run (2011, with Al Burke), and the comedy Turnover (2019, with Carlos Carrasco).

Gilroy also appeared as Ed in the online comedy series Homeschooled (2011). [2]
