Michael Kurtz is an actor, author, and photographer who appeared as a Romulan senator in Star Trek Nemesis. He received no credit for his appearance.

Between 1978 and 1980, Kurtz studied journalism and photography at the CSUN before he worked as photographer, editor and journalist until 1992. Since 2012, he has been writing, producing, and directing independent productions and features with his company Hellga Films.

Other film work includes featured parts in Conspiracy Theory (1997, with Patrick Stewart, Brian J. Williams, Saxon Trainor, Bert Remsen, Lincoln Simonds, Bill Henderson, Stephen Liska, Kenneth Tigar, and Beau Lotterman), the television drama Twins by Surprise (2009), and Hitchcock (2012, with Kurtwood Smith, Wallace Langham, Spencer Garrett, Frank Collison, Jaehne Moebius, L.L. Ginter, and Bill Blair).

Kurtz guest starred on episodes of Cybill (1995, with Erick Avari and William Steinfeldt), Friends (2002), Everybody Hates Chris (2005, with Jude Ciccolella), Mystery ER (2008), Port Charles, 24 (2002-2003, with Billy Burke, Michelle Forbes, Timothy Carhart, Tracy Middendorf, Tamlyn Tomita, Billy Mayo, Carl Ciarfalio, Pete Henderson, Son of Lee, Jimmi Simpson, Jeff Cadiente, Angela Meryl, Tony Donno, Allan Bragg, Christina Carmel, Tom Burt, Rosine "Ace" Hatem, Mark Wagner, Roy Joaquin, Jude Ciccolella, Steven Culp, Faran Tahir, Daniel Dae Kim, Harris Yulin, and John Eddins), Human Prey (2009), The Mentalist (2010-2012, with Rebecca Wisocky, Ator Tamras, Robert Buckingham, John Billingsley, Connor Trinneer, Brian Cousins, and Al Ahlf), and It Casting (2011).
