Rios dressed as a 'facer
An interfacer, or 'facer, was, essentially, a go-between for hire. This was a big business serving competing corporations, rival criminal gangs, and thieves and their victims, especially on Freecloud. They were usually hired only for substantial deals.
Those looking to hire a interfacer might list their offer on a jobs board, which was accessible to the local interfacers guild. Interfacers tended to dress flamboyantly to ensure that they were not mistakenly identified with those they represented.
In 2399, Bjayzl sought a 'facer to broker a deal with the Tal Shiar for Bruce Maddox. Using credentials fabricated by Raffi Musiker, Cristóbal Rios was able to disguise himself as an interfacer and approach Bjayzl with an alternate deal: trading Maddox for Seven of Nine. (PIC: "Stardust City Rag")
