Overall[]

A total of $566 million for Hardware. This is up 10% from 2022. For video game content, there was a total of $3.827 billion, down 7% from from 2022. For Accessories, there was a total of $240 million, up 1% from 2022.

In terms of hardware, the Playstation 5 is driving the hardware revenue up with it leading in both revenue and units. PlayStation 5 hardware unit sales have now surpassed those of PlayStation 4 when time-aligned. The Switch is again second in units while the Xbox Series is second in revenue.

In terms of software, Resident Evil 4 tops the charts with its launch. The other new games are MLB: The Show at 3rd and WWE 2K at 7th. Metroid Prime Remastered makes the list after narrowly missing February. The Last of Us: Part 1's sales are driven by the finale of the first season of the TV show along with the PC release at the end of the month. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga also rose significantly from last month. Mario related titles such as New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury were boosted by Mario Day promotions but, not enough to rank in the top 20.
