A total of $367 million for Hardware. This is up 7% from 2022. For video game content, there was a total of $3.598 billion, down 6% from from 2022. For Accessories, there was a total of $158 million, flat with 2022.

In terms of hardware, the Playstation 5 was the best-selling hardware in terms of dollar sales and the Switch led in units sold. Both experienced double-digit growth, offsetting decline in other platforms. Xbox Series is third by both criteria.

In terms of software, Star Wars: Jedi Survivor is the best-selling title and enters the year's best sellers at 4th. Dead Island 2 is not too far behind, ending up at 6th on the year's chart. Mega Man Battle Network, Final Fantasy and Advance Wars were all new releases in top 20 that compiled older titles. New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe and Super Mario 3D World return to the top 20 due to tie-ins with The Super Mario Bros. Movie. For mobile, the only notable shift was that Pokémon Go missed the top 10 for the first time in a year. There were no major shifts in genre spend from March.
