The total United States video game industry in 2016 was estimated by NPD Group to be around $11.31 billion. The year was mostly supported by strong PS4 and Xbox One sales with the launch of their stronger revisions.[1]This year marked the first year with digital data included, starting in June. This shifted reporting a bit, with the removal of platforms in the report and such publishers as Nintendo not reporting digital data.
