My dream... is to entertain all of humanity with my manga too!

Itsuki Aino to Teppei Sasaki, Chapter 3

Itsuki Aino ( (アイ) () () (ツキ) Aino Itsuki?) is the deuteragonist of Time Paradox Ghostwriter, and the original author of the White Knight manga series.

Itsuki spent some time working as Teppei Sasaki's assistant on his serialization of said manga,[7] but is currently working on her own debut series, Anima, after winning the chance to run it in Weekly Shonen Jump.[5]

Appearance[]

Itsuki is a young girl with light blue shoulder-length hair styled into bangs that cover the right side of her face. She wears two red hair-clips adorned with yellow smiley faces clipped to the hair on the left side of her face. Her eyes are the same shade of blue as her hair, framed with a mole under her left eye and thin black eyebrows.

Itsuki wears a standard long-sleeved, navy-blue school uniform with a red ribbon and loafers. During the summer, she wears a short-sleeved and white version of her uniform and dons white knee socks. Occasionally, Itsuki is seen sporting a sweater over her uniform.

Half a year after her debut, when the serialization of Anima begins, Itsuki is instead seen in a dark, knitted turtleneck sweater and a tartan-patterned pinafore.

Personality[]

Itsuki is introduced as a lonely shut-in with a great love for WSJ manga. She initially acts coldly towards Teppei Sasaki while under the belief that he plagiarized her manga White Knight by sneaking into her room and spying on her notes as she slept, shouting at him and chasing him around the city with a g-pen. However, after Teppei reveals that he doesn't think there's anything only he can draw and she joins him as his assistant, Itsuki drops her cold guise and reveals her true personality—that of a happy and likable, albeit often eccentric, young girl with big dreams to become a successful mangaka.

Trivia[]

  • Itsuki's surname contains the kanji for "indigo" ( ai?) and "field" ( no?), and her first name contains a common abbreviation of the Japanese word for "Italy" ( i?) and "moon" ( tsuki?).

Quotes[]

  • (To Teppei Sasaki) "My dream... is to entertain all of humanity with my manga too!"[8]
  • (To Teppei Sasaki) "I'm not going down without a fight! One day I'm going to draw a manga one quintillion times better than White Knight... and show that I'm greater than you!"[9]
