During the First Battle of Geonosis, a regiment of the Grand Army of the Republic^[2] was deployed to the Petranaki Arena, rescuing the survivors of Jedi assault team that was attempting to rescue Senator Padmé Amidala, Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Padawan Anakin Skywalker. Commanded by Grand Master Yoda, the regiment of clone troopers arrived in LAAT/i gunships and arrived at the plains of Geonosis to continue the battle.^[1] The regiment was among the forces of the two battle armies that were dispatched to Geonosis.^[3]
