- AbuseFilter.
- Added the following to Wookieepedia:Blocking policy#How blocks work: "Alternatively, administrators may issue preemptive blocks through the AbuseFilter MediaWiki extension, which allows for certain actions to be taken in response to edits that match defined criteria. For example, users who remove external links from articles may be automatically blocked. Such blocks will appear in the Block log as having been performed by User:Abuse filter."
- A new "AbuseFilter" section, after "Blocking IP addresses," added to Wookieepedia:Blocking policy with the following: "The AbuseFilter MediaWiki extension may only be modified by the Wookieepedia administration. As with all blocking decisions, any AbuseFilter modification designed to issue a block falls under Administrative autonomy, though false-positive blocks issued by the AbuseFilter may be immediately removed by any administrator."
- Audiobooks
- Added a new "Audiobooks" section to Wookieepedia:Layout Guide#Appearances:
- When multiple audiobook editions of a single story are listed, differentiate between editions by specifying the audiobook's publisher within C:
- Heir to the Empire audiobook (Random House Audio)
- Heir to the Empire audiobook (Books on Tape Inc.)
- Heir to the Empire audiobook (Talking Book Publishers Inc.)
- Audiobook editions need not differentiate if they do not compete for the same title (example: Heir to the Empire: The 20th Anniversary Edition audiobook)
- When a single audiobook edition of a story is listed, the publisher shall only be specified if the listed edition is not the audiobook's mass-market edition, primarily from publishers Random House Audio and Bantam Doubleday Dell Audio Publishing:
- Shadows of the Empire audiobook (Talking Book Publishers Inc.)
- The New Jedi Order: Vector Prime audiobook
- When multiple audiobook editions of a single story are listed, differentiate between editions by specifying the audiobook's publisher within C:
- Added the following to Wookieepedia:Naming policy#Real-world publications, immediately above the "Comics and magazines" section: "To disambiguate for any publication type not covered in the following sections, use the type of literary work, such as "(short story)" (example: The Tale of the Aiwha Pod (short story))
- Wookieepedia:Naming policy#Disambiguation_2 has been updated with the following (changes in bold):
- To disambiguate comic stories, use "(comic)" (example: Sabotage (comic)).
- To disambiguate comic-book series, use "(comic series)" (example: Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge (comic series)).
- To disambiguate comic-book collected editions, use "(TPB)" for trade paperbacks and "(HC)" for hardcovers.
- If multiple comic-book issue articles compete for the same title, neither shall take naming precedence. Instead, each article shall disambiguate via a parenthetical descriptor indicating the respective issue's publication year, and a disambiguation page shall be created at the root title (example: Star Wars (1977) 1, Star Wars (2015) 1, and Star Wars (2020) 1, with the disambiguation page at Star Wars 1).
- A new "Disambiguation" section under Wookieepedia:Naming policy#Novels and books has been created with the following:
- To disambiguate novels, use "(novel)" (example: Death Star (novel)).
- For novelizations, such as film novelizations or junior film novelizations, use either "(novelization)" or "(junior novelization)" as appropriate.
- To disambiguate audiobooks, use "(audiobook)" (example: Yoda: Dark Rendezvous (audiobook)).
- If multiple audiobooks of the same story compete for the same title, naming precedence shall be granted to the mass-market edition, while all other editions will disambiguate via the publisher name (example: Heir to the Empire (audiobook), Heir to the Empire (Books on Tape Inc. audiobook), Heir to the Empire (Talking Book Publishers Inc. audiobook).
- Articles may use "(book)" to disambiguate a non-fiction book (example: Star Wars: The Magic of Myth (book)).
- To disambiguate novel series, use "(novel series)" (example: Star Wars: X-Wing (novel series)).
- Whenever a book has different editions, list them after a comma when the edition is a part of the formal title, and without italics if it is not formally part of the book's title (example: Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, Second Edition, but Galaxy Guide 1: A New Hope, Second Edition).
- To disambiguate novels, use "(novel)" (example: Death Star (novel)).
- Added a new "Audiobooks" section to Wookieepedia:Layout Guide#Appearances:
- Eras. Wookieepedia:Layout Guide#Eras tag has been completely rewritten, and now labelled as Wookieepedia:Layout Guide#Eras template.
- Vote ratios. Wookieepedia:Consensus#Rules has been modified with the following vote totals:
- Forums with 17-22 votes require a 5:2 ratio
- Forums with 23 or more votes require a 2:1 ratio
- Personal attacks. Added the following to Wookieepedia:Talk page policy:
- Point 2 has been updated to "No user may edit another user's comment, except to remove a personal attack or to redact private personal information prior to requesting RevisionDeletion by a bureaucrat or Fandom Staff member."
- Subpoint 2 of point 6 has been updated to "Comments that contain personal attacks as well as discussion relevant to the matter at hand, even if the relevant discussion is presented in an uncivil manner. Others may find the actual discussion portion of the comment helpful. Instead of removing the entire comment, only the personal attack may be removed. Offenders should be warned and blocked if needed."
- Special characters. Wookieepedia:Naming policy#Be careful with special characters has been completely rewritten with the following: "Due to the technical restrictions inherent to the MediaWiki software, some special characters and text strings cannot be used as part of article titles. For example, neither the piping character (|), the number sign (#), curly brackets ({}), nor square brackets ([]) can be used anywhere in an article title, and the string "Project:" (note the colon) cannot be used at the beginning of a title. See here for a comprehensive list of special characters and strings not permitted in article titles.
Whenever these restrictions force an article to exist at a title different from the subject's actual name (for example, Project: Shell-cracker, #2 Warpod, k'Jtari), use the template on the article in question." - Layout Guide. Wookieepedia:Layout Guide and Wookieepedia:Layout Guide/Out-of-universe have been updated with firm wording, making all section headings mandatory.
- Linking. Wookieepedia:Manual of Style#Formatting has been updated with the following (changes in bold):
- Do not separate compound terms upon first linking instance (examples: Battle of Hoth, not Battle of Hoth; YT-1300 light freighter, not YT-1300 light freighter).
- However, individual parts of compound terms may be linked upon subsequent mentions (example: YT-1300 light freighter is appropriate if YT-1300 light freighter has been linked previously).
- But do not link individual words within proper compound nouns (examples: Death Star, Azure Dianoga Cantina, Galactic Empire, Bantha-class assault shuttle)
- Multi-word terms or phrases within proper compound nouns may be linked if the term or phrase is not mentioned elsewhere in the article (example Imperial-class Star Destroyer)
- However, individual parts of compound terms may be linked upon subsequent mentions (example: YT-1300 light freighter is appropriate if YT-1300 light freighter has been linked previously).
- Do not separate compound terms upon first linking instance (examples: Battle of Hoth, not Battle of Hoth; YT-1300 light freighter, not YT-1300 light freighter).
- Listen to article. Template:Spoken and the contents of Category:Spoken article audio files have been deleted. The use of spoken article audio files has been prohibited.
- Mediacat. The first two sentences of Wookieepedia:Layout Guide#Mediacat have been updated with the following: "In the instance two or more images and/or sound files on Wookieepedia feature the article's subject, corresponding categories must be created. These must be linked to via the Mediacat template, which ideally shall be placed immediately below the title of the "Appearances" section (or the "Sources" section in the absence of an "Appearances" section) of the respective article."
- Infobox. Added the following to Wookieepedia:Layout Guide#Infobox "All infobox material must be detailed in the article proper, with the following exceptions:" list:
- The degree field of the droid character infobox.
- Organizations in any character infobox that are inherently implied by a stated role (examples: Stormtrooper Corps does not need to be linked within a character article body if the article states that the character is a stormtrooper; Imperial Officer Corps does not need to be linked in the article body if the article states that the subject is an Imperial officer).
- Aliases. Alias articles being merged with their main article subject discussed for future CT.
