- Voting policy amendments. The following will be added to Wookieepedia:Single-issue voters:
- Any user who has placed {{User left}} on their user page, or who has in some other way made it clear that they have departed the wiki, must re-earn the right to vote. From the time that they stated their intentions to leave, whether by the use of {{User left}} or some other means, they will not be eligible to vote. Before they can vote again, they must make it clear that they have returned from their absence, with messages and templates reverted, and they must earn another 50 valid Main namespace edits.
- Users returning from a block of one month or longer are not immediately eligible to vote on matters of site consensus (as defined in this section's first bullet point). They regain their voting eligibility after two weeks from the expiration of their block.
- Users must make 50 non-reverted, non-deleted edits within the previous 6 months prior to the start of a given forum to be eligible to vote. User page and talk page edits do not apply. Edit totals remain pursuant to the overall productivity requirement.
- Quote of the Day voting changes:
- First-time nominated quotes now need only 8 support votes to pass (previously 10).
- All quotes are hereby "reset," meaning all quotes previously featured on the Main Page now need only 8 votes to be re-featured on the Main Page.
- After initially passing through the new +8 support system, renominated quotes may pass with the new incremental support system: +12 for second time, +16 for third time, +20 for fourth time
- If it has been 2 years since a quote was last featured on the Main Page through this new system, it automatically reverts back to +8.
- Citation template standardization. The following practices are now standardized for the use of citation templates:
- Citation templates designed for the purpose of citing multiple parameters in a single reference may not be used merely to adorn the name of a source.
- Citation templates may not be used or created simply to adorn the name of a source with a logo
- {{CSWECite}}, including all parameters, must be used in individual citation references when applicable
- {{CSWECite}} may not be used in the Sources list to denote individual entries, volumes, or page numbers. The only exception is when a subject is referenced in an entry but does not have a specific entry of its own.
- Additionally, if a subject does not have an entry of its own and is referenced in more than 3 individual entries, the item will be formatted as such in the Sources list: *The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia (Mentioned in multiple entries) -- a new parameter has been added to {{CSWECite}} for this purpose: {{CSWECite|jang}}
- Available citation templates must be used in Appearances, Sources, and Notes and references whenever applicable, with the exception of {{CSWECite}} as previously noted and any other specifically designated examples (which will be detailed on Wookieepedia:Layout Guide and/or Wookieepedia:Manual of Style)
- Sourcing amendments:
- The following revision will be made to Wookieepedia:Sourcing#Rules. Point 2 will now read: "References go immediately after punctuation and outside of quotation marks, with no space between the end of a sentence and a reference tag. One exception is the use of dashes (see WP:DASH). References should immediately precede dashes."
- Example: Joe was born in 4 ABY[2]—a bad year for the Empire[3]—and lived a long life.
- Reference notes will be placed outside parentheses
- The following revision will be made to Wookieepedia:Sourcing#Rules. Point 2 will now read: "References go immediately after punctuation and outside of quotation marks, with no space between the end of a sentence and a reference tag. One exception is the use of dashes (see WP:DASH). References should immediately precede dashes."
- Wookieepedia NewsNet:
- A motion to merge {{Tl|Wookieenews}} with the Wookieepedia NewsNet on the Main Page was rejected
- A motion to replace the Wookieepedia NewsNet feed on the Main Page with the Wookieepedia Twitter feed will be taken to the Senate Hall for further discussion
- Star Wars: The Old Republic article. Regarding the issue of the slow loading time for the Star Wars: The Old Republic article given its massive Appearances section, Grunny will implement a JavaScript modification that allows the Appearances section to load separately from the rest of the article. In the event this solution fails, the situation will be reevaluated.
- EduCorps membership voting. Nomination and removal of Wookieepedia:EduCorps members will now be handled internally by the EduCorps itself, identical to how membership is handled in the Wookieepedia:Inquisitorius and Wookieepedia:AgriCorps.
- CAN page formatting. Wookieepedia:Comprehensive article nominations will now be formatted with transcluded subpages, identical to Wookieepedia:Featured article nominations and Wookieepedia:Good article nominations
- Quote attribution. As standard, quote attribution lines will not have full stops (periods) at the end.
- Sockpuppet policy. The following revision will be made to Wookieepedia:Sock puppetry: "Sockpuppets are alternate usernames created by a registered user. The term also applies to IP addresses used by banned users to evade their block. The use of sockpuppets is discouraged on most wikis, including Wookieepedia. Sockpuppetry may be dealt with by administrators as follows: The use of sockpuppets to get around a ban will result in the sockpuppet username being permanently blocked. The use of an IP address to evade a ban, whether it be on a registered username or another IP address, is considered sockpuppetry and will result in the IP address being banned in accordance with Wookieepedia policy. The use of proxy IP addresses to evade blocks is also forbidden, and will result in the permanent block of the proxy address. At the discretion of the administrators, the length of the original username's block may be extended."
- Notability policy for sentient species. The following notability policy (located at Wookieepedia:Notability policy) now governs sentient species articles:
- If an individual is of a unique and unnamed sentient species that does not appear elsewhere, that species should not receive an article; instead, the character's physical appearance should be described in the individual's article. Generic background characters should not receive species articles. However, if two or more characters are of the same unidentified species, that species may receive an article. Exceptions can be made for single-member species that are particularly notable.
- As a general rule, a species must have one of the following to necessitate an article:
- A canonical name.
- Multiple members. For example: Yoda's species or Eero Iridian's species.
- Significant development/behind the scenes information, such as inspiration. For example: Red pachydermoid species.
- A homeworld that has been specifically mentioned or appeared, and has been specifically identified as the species' homeworld.
- Significant backstory or accomplishments that have been directly attributed to the species. For example: Those who came before.
- Significant description and identification as a unique species in dialogue. For example: Nuso Esva's species.
