"The Thunderstrike is short on supplies. So we send a few squads down to that settlement, grab all the food and equipment we can get. Don't think we'll see resistance."
―Hazram Namir suggests pillaging a settlement on Vir Aphshire[1]

Vir Aphshire was a planet with honey fields, orchards, and clay hives. Around 0 BBY, the Rebel Alliance's 61st Mobile Infantry drove the Galactic Empire's forces from the orchards and clay hives, during which news came about the destruction of the Empire's Death Star. After the fighting, the rebel Sergeant Fektrin led a scout party to observe the nearest settlement on the planet and had Private Hazram Namir pass his report on to Captain Micha Evon. Upon receiving the report, Evon spoke with Namir about the private's accomplishments in the company as well as their philosophies on war.

History[]

"Threat seems pretty well contained. We could go hunting, but the enemy's on the run. No need to get our people killed backing the Imps into a corner."
―Hazram Namir, on the Galactic Empire's status on Vir Aphshire[1]

The 61st Mobile Infantry (logo pictured) forced the Galactic Empire into a retreat on Vir Aphshire.

Around 0 BBY,[2] during the Galactic Civil War between the Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire, the Alliance's 61st Mobile Infantry fought the Imperial forces on Vir Aphshire as part of Operation Mad Rush. During the conflict, rebel soldiers fighting in a trench received news that the Empire's Death Star superweapon had been destroyed. The soldiers cheered upon the announcement. The next day, the 61st was able to force the Imperial forces into a retreat, taking control of the orchards and what was left of the hives, which the Imperials had decided to burn before they fled.[1]

The evening after the 61st's victory, Sergeant Fektrin led a scout party to observe the nearest civilian settlement on Vir Aphshire, where they determined that it had seen no damage or fortification. After returning to the 61st's camp, Fektrin gave his report on the reconnaissance to Private Hazram Namir to pass onto Captain Micha Evon, the 61st's commanding officer. Namir was pointed to Evon by the latter's second-in-command Lieutenant Sairgon, and the private handed the report over to the captain.[1]

Evon had Namir walk with him and went on to speak about the soldier's accomplishments in his two months in the 61st. When the captain then asked Namir's thoughts on what the 61st could do in the company's remaining day or two on Vir Aphshire, the private suggested pillaging the civilian settlement. Evon told the soldier that he misunderstood the war, explaining his own philosophy about trying to win the hearts of the people. The pair thus came to an agreement that they would not be "riling up the locals," and the 61st soon left Vir Aphshire.[1]
