The VCX-150 freighter was a Corellian Engineering Corporation freighter model that had over half a dozen rooms. One of the models, registered as the Keepsake, was used by the Sullustan resistance rebel cell to smuggle supplies to the planet Sullust's capital city of Pinyumb. It was discovered by the Imperial Security Bureau and subsequently searched by stormtroopers from the Imperial Ninety-Seventh Stormtrooper Legion. The troopers found a Chadra-Fan rebel hiding aboard, who ultimately set off a detonator to avoid being taken into custody.

Characteristics[]

The VCX-150 freighter was a freighter model manufactured by the Corellian Engineering Corporation[1] as part of the VCX series.[2] The model included more than half a dozen rooms, including a cargo hold, bunks, and a cockpit, outside which a tight corridor with a conduit access panel was located.[1]

History[]

Sullust DICE

The VCX-150 freighter Keepsake smuggled supplies to Sullust (pictured).

During the Galactic Civil War between the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire, a carbon-scored VCX-150 freighter registered as the Keepsake was used by the Sullustan resistance, a rebel cell operating out of the planet Sullust's[1] capital[3] city of Pinyumb and was used to smuggle supplies, including food, anti-Imperial videos, tools, and medical gear like bandages and bacta packs to the city. However,[1] in 3 ABY,[4] the Imperial Security Bureau was able to link the Keepsake to the Sullustan resistance and a group of twelve stormtroopers from the Imperial Ninety-Seventh Stormtrooper Legion, led by trooper SP-113, was sent aboard the VCX-150 freighter while it was docked in the Pinyumb spaceport.[1]

During the search, a Chadra-Fan member of the Sullustan resistance was inside the freighter and hid in a conduit access point at the corridor by the cockpit while the stormtroopers searched the freighter. After searching all rooms and finding smuggled supplies, the troopers gathered in the tight corridor, where one noticed the conduit access point and discovered the Chadra-Fan. After questioning the rebel, the stormtroopers attempted to take the Chadra-Fan into custody, but the alien instead set off a detonator, killing the resistance member and most of the troopers.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

A VCX-150 freighter appeared in the 2015 novel Battlefront: Twilight Company, written by Alexander Freed.[1]
