WP:KOTOR project[]

Welcome to the project, Holocron! If you need any assistance or have any questions, don't be afraid to ask either Cylka, our project leader, or myself. BTW, love your signature.—Jedi Kasra (comlink) 17:36, September 1, 2010 (UTC)

  • Thanks. I was surprised at how good the Great Holocron looks at 25x, looks nice in a signature. Holocron Greatholocron (Complain) 21:52, September 1, 2010 (UTC)

Re: KOTOR project tag[]

The general rule is that if something only appeared in KotOR related media, then it gets a tag, even if it is something minor. If something appears across different eras, then it is a judgment call. For example, Basilisk war droid falls under both TotJ and KotOR because was listed in the KotOR SAGA guide. If you are unsure, you can always ask one of us. Hope that this helps. Cylka-talk- 00:28, September 6, 2010 (UTC)

  • Sorry, there was a couple of things I forgot to mention. If you are creating a talk page, please add {{Talkheader}} in the first line and then add {{WKOTORtalk}} in the second line. Secondly, please make sure that any articles you add the tag to are included on the project's master lists. This is a way to help us stay organized. Thanks. Cylka-talk- 00:44, September 6, 2010 (UTC)

Hanger[]

It's actually spelled "hangar" for most Star Wars purposes. Graestan(Talk) 11:57, November 1, 2010 (UTC)

RE:[]

We call an objection where (as a general rule) it takes more time to write it out as a formal objection rather than just fixing it yourself {{sofixit}}, it is normally considered obstructive and/or rude (just plain unnecisary, really) to do it. When dealing with new users or users who are consistantly forgetting certain things, this inhibition is waived so they can learn. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo 05:09, November 25, 2010 (UTC)

KOTOR meeting[]

Hi! Just wanted to let you know that we're trying to have a WP:KOTOR WP:IRC meeting on Saturday 18th December at 23:00 UTC, see this section for how to participate, welcome. –Tm_T (Talk) 13:58, December 12, 2010 (UTC)

  • That's allright if you don't make it as these are not mandatory, just good ways to get brains together. If you have something to say and want to make sure to get it across, you can use the meeting page comment section too. (: –Tm_T (Talk) 15:53, December 15, 2010 (UTC)

Re:Alara[]

Hey Holocron, thanks for archiving that. Cheers. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 06:07, January 19, 2011 (UTC)

Refs[]

Hi, Holocron! I don't know why the {Ref} template must be used in the infobox, but they are needed. Your normal 'ref's are used incorrectly in the ORO article. See here. Darth Morrt 19:07, January 25, 2011 (UTC)

Re:[]

Hey Holocron,

Thanks for the offer of nomination. I've been hesitant about joining the EC before, as I've never really wanted to start getting too many responsibilities on my head here at the Wook --- I live overseas in Asia right now, and once my teaching contract ends, I'll probably start traveling around the area frequently and for long periods of time with very limited internet access --- buuuuut I don't think I really understood before just how "unofficial" the responsibilities of EC members are before. Considering that anyone can archive noms, the page really belongs to the entire community, and if I were an EC, I don't really think anything would change, other than noms probably being archived quicker. :P So, actually, yeah, I'd be honored if you were to nominate me. Thank you! :D Menkooroo 10:00, February 12, 2011 (UTC)

RE: TC-22 blaster rifle[]

The rifle was added to the game as a reward for participating in the improved Galactic Civil War battles. TC-22 blaster rifle - A picture of it's ingame description. Here is the update it was added in: [1]. OLIOSTER (talk) 12:07, February 14, 2011 (UTC)

    • The TC-22 was added to SWG in 2010, it was not its first appearance. OLIOSTER (talk) 21:53, February 14, 2011 (UTC)

TC-22 in Galaxies[]

Basically what you need to do is expand the IU information within the history section of the article, then insert/expand the OOU information in the bts. Galaxies introduced player vs player and player vs environment invasions in Game Update 15, which was released on January 26, 2010. The invasions take place in Dearic, Talus; Keren, Naboo; and Bestine, Tatooine. Each one of those cities, depending on which faction controls it—Rebel or Imperial—has an NPC recruiter that allows the spacer (the player) buy different items. In order to buy an item, let's say the TC-22 rifle, you need a certain amount of tokens.

You don't have to explain this in full detail in the bts, but you obtain the tokens in several different ways: during the construction stage of the invasion, during the invasion via missions, and then after each successful or unsuccessful invasion. The amount of tokens a player receives varies.

The weapons cost 1,000 tokens per schematic, and that does include the TC-22. If you take a look at the Darth Phobos article, I gave QGJ the Galaxies' information on the Phobos lightsaber schematic, and he did a good job putting the information in the history, as well as the bts sections of the article. You could explain the invasions in the history, the recruiter of the faction giving replica schematics of the TC-22, ect, in the history, and then go on and explain the Galaxies information in the bts. Hope that helps. :) JangFett (Talk) 00:06, February 24, 2011 (UTC)

Re: WP:NSW acceptable articles[]

Yes, they are considered a part of the project: mainly because the Darth Bane trilogy is so interconnected with the New Sith Wars—the entire first novel takes place during the war, after all. We already have a ton of status articles from the trilogy listed in the GA and FA portfolios, so it should be pretty clear that we're including them. NSW's GA portfolio[]

Hey Holocron, your addition of the TC-22 blaster rifle to the GA portfolio is appreciated, but please remember to keep the article text appropriately formatted—keep the links, italcs, bold text, etc.&mdas;when you add it to the portfolio. Thanks. Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 17:30, March 3, 2011 (UTC)

Hey there![]

Hey The Holocron,

I just thought I'd stop in and see how you were doing. You mentioned a couple of months ago in the most recent Barn Burner thread that you had had some medical issues to overcome, and I hope that you're doing fantastic and that you've come out stronger. I was wondering where you had gone before I saw that post; you've written some excellent articles, and we'd all love to see you be able to hang around here and write some more. Anyway, I hope you're doing well, and Happy New Year! Menkooroo 20:03, January 3, 2012 (UTC)

  • Reading this reminds me of how long it's been since I actively wrote on Wookieepedia. I remember slowing down around last May for some exams, with plans to return after that, but then I got rather sick. I was too busy dealing with having a painful, incurable, condition to have much time left for writing. Anyway, that's being controlled well enough. I've got some free time, so I'll try to think of something I can turn into a CA to get me started again. Going to have to re-learn all the syntax I used to know so well. Thanks for, well, remembering I existed. Holocron Greatholocron (Complain) 17:04, January 4, 2012 (UTC)
    • I'm sorry to hear that you were sick. Here's to hoping that the last three months have been good to you. Be strong, and know that you have our support. Menkooroo 21:59, April 2, 2012 (UTC)

WP:KOTOR[]

As of 0:00 UTC (8:00 PM EST), I have assumed responsibilities for leading this project, due to my predecessor Cylka's inactivity. Wherever she is, I wish her well in her endeavors, and should she come back, I will gladly turn over leadership back to her. Over the next few weeks, I look forward to reviewing more articles and also wish to get more KotOR-related projects off the ground, and look forward to moving forward to bettering this project and ultimately Wookieepedia. Thank you for your continued service to Wookieepedia.—Jedi Kasra ("Indeed.") 01:03, December 20, 2012 (UTC)
