Tense in plot summaries[]

Hi! Just a heads-up that plot summaries should be in the present tense rather than past tense (as is the case in most other articles), per the Layout Guide. Cheers, Xd1358 (Talk) 21:43, 27 May 2024 (UTC)

Choose Your Destiny audiobooks[]

Hi, there are audiobooks for all four Choose Your Destiny (physical) books. They are available on Amazon Kids+. The Han & Chewie one is actually free even if you don’t have Kids+. Just try saying “play Star Wars Choose Your Destiny”. Not sure why no one has ever made pages for them (I was going to get around to it), but they definitely exist.

I did try to find them the other day but they weren't showing up for me but that was probably user error. If you were able to get those ones that is great.

  • Hi! Yes, that has been bothering me as well. The credits aren't given when you complete an adventure/mission. I have tried asking Alexa for the credits, narrator, release date, run time, but no help there. I reached out to Cavan's assistant and she did check with him too, but they were unable to help. I also sent feedback on the Alexa app to try to have the skill page updated with the info...I would encourage you to do the same: "More", "Skills & Games", scroll to bottom "Your Skills", find and click on CYD, scroll to bottom "Send Feedback". I have not yet tried reaching out to Disney. The narrator's voice sounds familiar, and if he is doing all the voices, he is really good...I suspect there is a full cast for these. • Hi, yeah I had a feeling you would probably have a difficult time with those. I really appreciate all the work you have put into those pages. Thank you! ThePedantry (talk) 21:45, 11 July 2024 (UTC)

Layout[]

Hey there, ThePedantry! First off, thank you for the contributions you made to Wook! I noticed you've made multiple articles for real people, so I just wanna let you know that we have a proper layout guide for that type of article. Particularly about the "Works" section, our current practice is to make a table instead of bullet points. Additionally, the "External links" section also has a specific order of listing to keep it consistent all around the site. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out via my talk page or on Wook's Discord! Happy editing and cheers! Bonzane10 Bonzane10-Sig 02:25, 28 June 2024 (UTC)

  • Hi, ThePedantry! You've been doing a great job of creating so many new articles for real people! Just a quick sidenote to Bonzane's message above, per the Layout Guide, please keep the space in the reused references (<ref name="KOTOR" /> instead of <ref name="KOTOR"/>). Happy editing and keep up the good work! TanDivoInsignia-SenateMurders AnilSerifoglu (talk) 08:37, 30 June 2024 (UTC)

Jedi Quest audiobooks[]

Hi there, ThePedantry! About these two edits, are we sure that those are abridged adaptations? The retailer links on both Random House pages suggest they are unabridged. TanDivoInsignia-SenateMurders AnilSerifoglu (talk) 12:26, 10 July 2024 (UTC)

  • Hello, I just listened to both of the books as part of my audiobook crew credits work and both books three & four include "Abridgement was arranged by Kevin Thomsen" in their credits. Where as the first 2 books do not include those credits and specifically say unabridged on the audiobook covers. I don't believe there was much that was removed but I do think it is safe to call them abridged. ThePedantry (talk) 16:20, 10 July 2024 (UTC)

Disambig headers[]

Hey there - thanks for adding all of those disambiguation headers to film media articles! Just a heads up that having a Youmay to the film along with Otheruses is a bit redundant, so I'm going to use my bot to remove the Youmays from those articles to just leave Otheruses. JediMasterMacaroni(Talk) 22:36, 19 July 2024 (UTC)

  • Hello, the main reason I was adding the Youmays was to note the most similar articles, like the audiobook and its source novel, or the novelization and the source film/episode. Then the otheruses is for the disambiguation. While it is a bit redundant it does expose the most likely article that the user might want and saves them having to go to the disambiguation page. Basically a small quality of life addition. At least that was my reasoning anyway. — ThePedantry (talk) 00:58, 20 July 2024 (UTC)
    • I hear that counterpoint, but we don't want to overcrowd the headers section, and the use of disambig templates is often in cases when a reader might have accidentally ended up on the article while looking for another. When it comes to film media, I'd also mention, the film itself is almost always linked in the intro anyway, so they can find that article fairly quickly by that.
