Welcome, Smartguy74![]

Hello, Smartguy74, and welcome to Wookieepedia! We hope you like the place and choose to join us in building the best Star Wars encyclopedia there is. Here are some things you should know:

Wookiees-Transparent

New to wikis? Don't worry, we were all new once. Our welcome page has everything you need to get started, and the Jundland Wastes sandbox can be used for test edits. Don't be afraid to make mistakes—be bold!

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wookieepedian! If you have any questions, you can consult our FAQ, ask a question in the Senate Hall forum, visit our official Discord server, or leave me a message on my talk page.

Sourcing Articles[]

Thanks for your recent edits, they're greatly appreciated! However, be sure that any information on an article is properly cited in accordance with Wookieepedia's sourcing policy. Thanks, and happy editing! - Thannus (DFaceG) (he/him) (talk) 22:06, 18 August 2023 (UTC)

  • Hey there! Just wanna add to this. Please follow the sourcing policy and add the proper citation when contributing to Wookieepedia. Cheers! Bonzane10 Sabine Starbird (holonet) 23:14, 24 September 2023 (UTC)

Image uploading tips[]

Hello there! Just wanted to give you a couple of tips to improve your image uploading process (thank you for your uploads so far!). You can see both of them in effect here. Firstly, when you want to separate name of the image's source from the rest of its title, please use a simple hyphen "-" (the minus sign) instead of a longer dash like you did there - that helps to keep the titles more uniform and, even more importantly, is more search-friendly.

Secondly, on the images that you upload you'll want to try and fill out the appropriate categories, like I did for the licensing and subject ones in the example. Those help the reader to more efficiently navigate through our image categories and find exactly the images they're looking for. Here are their corresponding master categories (1, 2) for when you want to check whether a specific category already exists and such. Also note that you don't necessarily need to immediately fill those out while uploading: for example, the way I do it is, I upload the image with the bare essential info on it and then come back and add in all the rest of applicable info, like here. Hope that helps! Imperators II(Talk) 08:29, 25 September 2023 (UTC)

J-3DI[]

Hey there! Thanks for your help in covering Star Wars: Hunters material. I noticed you added the estimated date of when J-3DI was created; however, the citation you provided has little to no relevance to the information. Just letting you know so you can update it with the proper citation. Cheers! Bonzane10 Sabine Starbird (holonet) 10:39, 11 October 2023 (UTC)

Template formatting[]

Hey there. Just wanna let you know when adding an appearance template like "(Mentioned only)" or "(Indirect mention only)", make sure you add a space before. Cheers! Bonzane10 Sabine Starbird (holonet) 04:01, 13 January 2024 (UTC)

Real world page[]

Hey again there. Thanks for your contribution. Just want to remind you that when adding info, even for actors/actresses, you are still required to put up a proper citation. This includes bio info such as pronouns, which you've been adding without any citations. Cheers! Bonzane10 Sabine Starbird (holonet) 07:23, 27 January 2024 (UTC)

Marfalump[]

Source editor[]

Hey Smartguy! I'm just here to make a suggestion that might help improve your editing experience. You could change your editor from "visual editor" to "source editor." This change will allow you to edit via HTML which would make the editing process much cleaner, especially since "visual editor" does leave weird residues like random spaces and inconsistent spacing between paragraphs and images. (We typically have to spot and remove these issues manually)

If you're interested, you could go to "My Preferences", then go to the "Editing" tab, and scroll down until you find the "Preferred editor" dropbox and change the editor. If you have any questions, let me know here or on Discord! Cheers! Bonzane10 Sabine Starbird (holonet) 10:57, 23 March 2024 (UTC)

Soundtrack pages request[]

Hi! I see there's quite much of your input into the soundtrack-related pages here on Wook. So I hope it's safe to ask you to create - in either short or long run, if you'd be willing - the missing pages for the Visions Season 2 soundtracks. Maybe these are beyond your scope of interest, but the articles for Season 1 OSTs were created by Dentface and it's been a year since the Season 2 OST release (May 4) and back then, on 26 May, I've added the links to the Visions navbox - Template:Visions. Of course, everything has been digitally available on Amazon and other platforms, so there are enough sources to draw upon. I'm only making this request looking at your contributions and the quality of those articles. Thank you! --Orgus Ordo (talk) 08:31, 9 May 2024 (UTC)
