Hello there, <insert name here>, and welcome to my page!

My name is DKS_MaXoO, but most Wookieepedians seem to call me DKS for short, which originally was the acronym for a team of video game players known as the Dark Shadows. I have been an active contributor since 2013 and I am exclusively interested in Legends material.

About me[]

The first Star Wars film I saw was The Phantom Menace after it came out on VHS in 2000. I later saw Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith in movie theaters. I did not see the original trilogy until its release on DVD in 2004.

I grew up with Star Wars video games such as the Rogue Squadron series, The Clone Wars, Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy. I also loved reading the original Clone Wars series of comics.

My interest in the Expanded Universe really took off with the release of Empire at War and its expansion Forces of Corruption. I joined a modding team for this game in 2007, which required me to spend a lot of time reading articles on Wookieepedia. Eventually, I became an active contributor in 2013.

My contributions are usually centered around battles, planets and sectors. Whenever possible, I try to add an infobox, an image, a quote, and a complete list of sources.

Breadcrumb trail[]

Last update: March 2024

I often lose myself on Wookieepedia. I start a series of edits on a particular subject and I stumble upon something else that also needs some improvement. It usually starts with something small that eventually ends up being very time-consuming. Here is the trail of "small" projects that I have started to work on (so that I don't forget to finish them):

  1. March 2024: Divide Hutt Space (and its battles) between the Mid Rim and the Outer Rim, as seen here
  2. February 2024: Divide the Tion Hegemony (and its battles) between the Back Spiral and the Livien Worlds
  3. February 2024: Divide the Tion Cluster between the Trans-Hydian and the Slice
  4. February 2024: Star Wars: The Essential Guide to Warfare Author's Cut, Part 3 - "Xim the Despot"
  5. February 2024: Xim Week: The Despotica
  6. February 2024: Xim / Xer's Campaigns / Xim's Expansionist Period / Xim Wars / Category:Tion Cluster historic states
  7. February 2024: Rhen Var
  8. February 2024: Mirgoshir
  9. February 2024: Rare systems of The Essential Atlas
  10. February 2024: Miscellaneous Regions: The Negs, New Territories, Northern Dependencies, The Slice (Arrowhead), Southern Core, Trailing Sectors, Trans-Hydian, Western Reaches
  11. January 2024: Category:Fictional locations / Category:Mythological places / Category:Nonexistent locations used in hoaxes
  12. January 2024: EAOC discussion / EAOC discussion 2023 / EAOC discussion 2023 2 / EAOC discussion 2023 3 / EAOC discussion 2023 4
  13. January 2024: Forum:SH:Jason Fry needs our help!
  14. January 2024: Disambiguation pages
  15. December 2023: Chandrila / Wookieepedia:Featured article nominations/Chandrila/Legends
  16. December 2023: Star Wars: TIE Fighter
  17. October 2023: Category:Battles by system, and finally I will be back on track with my main project. ↓

Current project — Battles by conflict and by location[]

"I wake up every day to an equation I wrote 15 years ago from which there's only one conclusion, I'm damned for what I do. My anger, my ego, my unwillingness to yield, my eagerness to fight, they've set me on a path from which there is no escape. […] I burn my life to make a sunrise that I know I'll never see. And the ego that started this fight will never have a mirror or an audience or the light of gratitude. So what do I sacrifice? Everything!"
―A Wookieepedian, or Luthen Rael[4]

Last update: January 2024

For several years now, I have been categorizing battles by conflict and by location.

Main categories remaining:

  • I regularly review the new battles to make sure that they are correctly categorized.

Next project — Battles by era, by faction, and by year[]

"Who's the more foolish, the fool, or the fool who follows him?"
Obi-Wan Kenobi[2]

Last update: January 2024

After years of categorizing battles by conflict and by location, I will (soon) start categorizing them by era, by faction, and by year.

Main categories involved:

Future projects[]

"I know what I have to do… but I don't know if I have the strength to do it. Will you help me?"
Kylo Ren, to Han Solo[5]

Here are the projects that I will work on in the future, or from time to time:

Disambiguation pages

  • It would be very time-consuming, and impossible to do on my own, but I would like to create more disambiguation pages by using the formidable DPLTitleSearch. I believe that creating exhaustive lists and displaying them on top of articles, like here or here, would really help connecting whole chains of articles together. These lists would give users a chance to stumble upon rarely-viewed articles. I might start with Featured articles, Good articles and Comprehensive articles in hopes of setting a new trend, or I might just begin with starship names.
