A world with gaseous rings in its orbit was located in the same star system as the moon Felne 6. It orbited a sun.[1] In 228 BBY,[2] the world was located within Galactic Republic space. When Eye of the Nihil Marchion Ro visited the system during his investigation into a plague known as the blight, he synchronized his starship, the Gaze Electric, to remain in the shadow of the world's rings to obscure its presence before traveling to Felne 6 on a shuttle.[1]
While on the moon, interference from the gaseous rings caused Ro's comlink to malfunction on occasion while his secretary Thaya Ferr was attempting to contact him. After the Eye was finished on Felne 6, he traveled back to the Gaze on his shuttle and eventually returned to Nihil space.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The world was mentioned in the 2024 novel The High Republic: Temptation of the Force, written by Tessa Gratton and published as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase III.[3]

- ↑ Star Wars: Timelines dates Starlight Beacon's destruction to 230 BBY. The implementation of the Guardian Protocols, which Star Wars: The High Republic Character Encyclopedia places in 229 BBY, took place one week after Starlight Beacon's fall according to The High Republic: Shadows of Starlight 1. As The High Republic: Temptation of the Force takes place one year and six weeks after the destruction of Starlight Beacon and its events span a few months, its events must be set in 228 BBY.
