A town was located in the planet Lau.[1] It included a spaceport, where Star Commuter 2000 shuttles ferried passengers[3] to the planet,[4] as well as a cargo port.[3]

In around 18 BBY,[5] the town was controlled by the Galactic Empire, with Captain Mann leading the TK stormtrooper forces patrolling the streets. During that time, Crosshair and Omega, on the run from the Advanced Science Division, crash-landed to the planet on board a Rho-class transport shuttle and sought refuge in the town.[3]

In order to make enough money to bribe a ticketing agent to let them in the spaceport, Omega decided to gamble in a cantina, where she ultimately defeated a Trandoshan patron in the game of balaans. While preparing to leave, she was stopped by Mann, who asked her for another game. When she defeated him as well, Mann forced her to pay a "fine" for gambling, in order to take back what he had lost. He also kidnapped Omega's pet lurca hound, Batcher, and took it to the cargo docks, expecting Omega to show up to retrieve it. When she did, Mann announced his intentions to arrest her and Crosshair, as their status as fugitives had been discovered, but Crosshair engaged the troopers in a firefight giving Omega enough time to open the cages of several animals held in the dock, trampling the troopers and giving the duo time to escape.[3]

  3. Per the reasoning here, Season 2 of Star Wars: The Bad Batch takes place around 18 BBY. The tally marks made by Omega in The Bad Batch Season 3's first episode, "Confined," indicate the episode must take place at least 21 standard days following her capture, as depicted in the Season 2 episode "Plan 99." According to StarWars "Confined" Trivia Guide | Star Wars The Bad Batch on StarWars.com (backup link), Omega then spends about one hundred and sixty-four further days in captivity by the end of "Confined." As such, the events of Season 3 must begin around 18 BBY and carry on from there.
