The title of this article is conjectural.

Although this article is based on official information from the Star Wars Legends continuity, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

A band consisting of seven Human males was popular on Kashyyyk in 1 ABY.[2] During the Galactic Empire's Blockade of Kashyyyk in that year, an Imperial technician watched a holovid performance of the band playing the song "Light the Sky on Fire." The holovid played inside a music box in the home of a Wookiee family that the technician and several other Imperials were searching for signs of Rebel activity. The band consisted of a lead singer, three members playing plucked string instruments, a drummer, a keyboardist and a man playing a wind instrument.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

"There's a profound moment in the oft-lamented Star Wars Holiday Special, when Jefferson Starship frontman Marty Balin looks skyward as he ponders lyrically, "Yes, I would really like to know. What are they watching us for?""
―Alex Newborn[3]

The band appears in 1978's The Star Wars Holiday Special, playing "Light the Sky on Fire." In-universe, they have not been named to date, but they were played by the members of the real-life band Jefferson Starship.

In Edward M. Erdelac's Star Wars Blog article Slugthrowers: An Overview of Popular Music and Musicians in a Galaxy Far, Far Away, Part 2, "Light the Sky on Fire" is said to be popular on Kashyyyk during the Galactic Civil War. The article also mentions another song popular on Kashyyyk, called "Hyperdrive"—the title of another Jefferson Starship song which was released as the B-side for some releases of the "Light the Sky on Fire" single.
